There are a few yarn bowls on Etsy that are gorgeous. I couldn't justify paying $40-50+ plus shipping costs for one, so I put those pretty yarn bowls out of my mind for a long while. And then, the amazing art teacher at the last school I taught at decided she'd facilitate a ceramics painting art activity for the teachers at the end of the year. Amazingly, there was a yarn bowl available (and for a fraction of the price at a ceramics studio)! There were 2 paints I'd chosen to use, but only the one was usable that day, so I wasn't sure exactly what the bowl would like like after going through the kiln. Initially, I wasn't 100% satisfied with how the paint turned out, but the yarn bowl has definitely grown on me. I decided to test out my new camera lens today and do a little shooting. Congratulations, little yarn bowl. You're the second subject this lens has captured.
